Competitive Dialogue and the Procurement of Major Contracts - A half day conference - 27 October 2011

We are pleased to announce the next PLA event which will focus on the use of the competitive dialogue procedure and the procurement of major contracts.  The event will include presentations on the UK experience as well as on how the competitive dialogue requirements have been interpreted in some other EU Member States, such as the grounds on which the procedure may be used and the extent of any discussions that may take place following the submission of final tenders.  The topics and speaker line up will be confirmed in the coming weeks but the latter will include:

  • Professor François Lichère, University of Aix-Marseilles III, France
  • Professor Steen Treumer, University of Copenhagen, Denmark

The programme for our competitive dialogue and the procurement of major contracts event has now been finalised and we set this out below.  We are delighted to announce that in addition to presentations on the use of the competitive dialogue in Denmark, France and Germany,the programme now includes a presentation by the Cabinet Office on the Government's "lean procurement" initiative with a focus on the competitive dialogue procedure as well as presentations on the use of the competitive dialogue in the UK and the PPP Forum's perspective on the procurement of major contracts

The event is free for PLA members. Non-members may attend for a ticket price of £25.
